Allen's Community Theatre Presents a Tuna Christmas, Dec. 6th - 22nd

Allen’s Community Theatre is proud to announce the cast for our December show, A Tuna Christmas by Ed Howard, Joe Sears, and Jaston Williams. This cast of four talented funny men will bring to life 22 residents of the (fictitious) town of Tuna, Texas. The cast includes Joe Barr, Martin Mussey, Audie Preston, and Martin Sinise. All four of these men have brought their immense talents to the ACT stage (and many other area theatres) over our 9 seasons. This talented bunch will be directed by Chris Berthelot. This show will open on December 6th through 22nd.

Holidays at the Heard brings nature into the season, Dec. 13 & 14th!

Holidays at the Heard brings the beauty of the holiday season into nature. Bundle up and experience the most unique holiday event in North Texas! Guests will see lights and holiday décor along a half mile Heard nature trail. Also, you’ll get to travel back in time to experience 10 life-size dinosaurs along a nature trail. Children and the young at heart will enjoy the opportunity to take a photo with Father Christmas and Mother Nature in a festive setting, Dec. 13th & 14th!

Merry Tuba Christmas Returns To Watters Creek, Dec. 15th

Come watch an assortment of tuba players when they congregate around the tree on the Village Green Sunday, December 15th at 2:30 p.m. to play Christmas carols and other crowd favorites. Tubists of all ages will participate and fill the green with the sound of low brass. Spectators are encouraged to sing along with the Christmas carols and holiday favorites.

Allen Community Band Christmas Concert at the Civic Auditorium, Dec. 15th

The ACB Jazz Band kicks off the concert with jazz and swing arrangements of holiday music. The Allen Community Band performs medleys of popular Christmas song and Semi Classical traditional holiday music from around the world. The concert begins at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15, at the Allen Civic Auditorium and it's Free!

Plans Take Shape for Allen’s Next Recreation Center

The City of Allen is preparing to hire architects and engineers to design Allen’s newest recreation center. Allen City Council approved the Exchange Parkway Feasibility Study during the November 12 meeting. This 72-page document provides conceptual designs, suggested amenities and estimated project cost for the 149,000-square-foot facility, to be located on Exchange Parkway south of Ridgeview Drive.
