The Eagles will be running and soaring on Saturday, February 29th, when the 12th Annual Allen Eagle Run kicks off at Eagle Stadium. Enjoy this community event with a festival-like sponsor and activity area and know that your participation has a direct impact on students and teachers in all Allen ISD Schools!

Inaugural Delta Allen Craft Beer & Spirits Festival, February 29th

Brewmasters and spirits and beer enthusiasts alike are gearing up for the first annual Delta Allen Craft Beer & Spirits Festival benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) Lone Star – Greater Dallas, which will take place at Delta Hotels by Marriott Dallas Allen & Watters Creek Convention Center. The festival, featuring local and regional craft beer and spirits, is scheduled for Saturday, February 29, 2020.

Fairview Youth Theatre Performs Urinetown, Feb. 21st through March 1st!

Performed by an all youth cast, and the winner of three Tony Awards, three Outer Critics Circle Awards, two Lucille Lortel Awards and two Obie Awards, Urinetown is a hilarious musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, municipal politics and musical theatre itself! Hilariously funny and touchingly honest, Urinetown provides a fresh perspective on one of America's greatest art forms. A must-see musical at the Fairview Youth Theatre mainstage, Feb. 21st through March 1st!

Celebrate Celtic Night at the Allen Public Library, March 14th

Celebrate Celtic Night at the Allen Public Library with Skeleton McKee at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14. Bringing the best of rock and rollicking Celtic roots/folk/rock, pub songs, and a wee bit of traditional blues and country, this band keeps your toes tapping and your hands clapping with a dose of comic relief on the side.

Council Approves Plans for “The Avenue”

Plans for the SH 121 Corridor in Allen are now one step closer to reality. Allen City Council unanimously approved the concept plan and development regulations for “The Avenue” at the February 11 meeting. This major mixed-use project is designed to incorporate offices, urban residences, restaurants and retailers on 79 acres located at the southwest corner of SH 121 and Alma Drive.
