The Village at Allen throws 10 Year Anniversary Festival, Oct. 13th
The free event will be a celebration of community pride and hometown spirit.
To celebrate ten years in the Allen community, The Village at Allen presents the Down Home Festival on October 13 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The free, family-friendly event will take place in The Grove, the shopping center’s outdoor pavilion.
The Down Home Festival will include site-wide dining and shopping deals, live music, a local vendor market, kids crafts and games, and contests provided by Village at Allen retailers and restaurants. Featured main stage entertainment includes 2018 American Idol finalist and Collin County native, Ron Bultongez, and GoodnGone, a Texas country band comprised of local police and firefighters.
“We just want to thank the Allen community for allowing us to serve them for ten great years,” said Christina Eschbacher, Marketing Manager at The Village at Allen. “This event is our way to give back to the people who make this city one of the best places to work and live in America.”
At the festival, attendees can participate in the second annual Zombie Walk, presented by Experian and benefitting the Scottish Rite Hospital. Local partners like the Allen Americans, Cabela’s, and many more will also host festival activities.
“The Allen Chamber is excited to partner with the Village at Allen to hold ‘The Grand Dash Urban Adventure Race’ at the Down Home Festival,” said Sharon Mayer, CEO for the Allen Chamber. “Teams will decode clues, solve puzzles, and follow trails that lead them around the shopping center.”
