Sublime Chocolate Bar

This is inspiration through chocolate at its best!  Troy and his crew make homemade chocolates and coffees each day.  They have truffles, bonbons, bars of chocolate, coffee drinks, hot chocolate and sipping chocolate, which was something I was new to!  My husband and I went in and sat down at one of their cozy tables and enjoyed a mocha and white hot chocolate.  If you love white chocolate and have never tasted a white hot chocolate, you are missing out!  Sublime takes sipping white chocolate and mixes it with steamed milk and I am telling you, that was the best drink I have ever had.  Also, their chocolate packaging is so elegant, if you have a loved one that is a chocolate lover, you cannot go wrong.  Not only their chocolates are beautiful, but the box and bag that they come package it in, is like you are buying a fine Louis Vuitton purse.  Beautiful!

Elke’s Market Café

Elke’s has been around for over thirteen years, it is owned by A fabulous husband and wife team that really takes the time to get to know you as you walk through their door.  I have eaten at Elke’s many times, but I had never sat down to fully savor their desserts.  They have delicious mini cakes, like cupcakes but even better, bars, cobblers and cookies.  You can take them to go or eat them right there on the spot.  My personal favorite was the carrot mini cake, the happy sprinkle cookie and the lemon bar.  Everything was moist, thick and full of flavor!  Make sure you stop by early because their breakfast and lunch is only offered until 3pm.  Enjoy!

Uncle Julio’s Chocolate Piñata

If you have a birthday coming up, a celebration or just want to get friends together for dessert, try Uncle Julio’s chocolate piñata!  It is not only fun but delicious and feeds 4-6 people easy!  The chocolate lover’s piñata comes with; mini churros, fresh strawberries, and chocolate empanada bites inside of it, but on the tray underneath, you will find house made whipped cream, shaven Belgian chocolate, and a homemade chocolate sauce that is slap your momma good!  Now one word of warning, when you hit the piñata with the small mallet that they give you, knock it with a downward swing and not sideways or the ingredients inside just might go flying towards another table!

Tango Empanadas & Bakery

This incredible slice of heaven is hidden back in a corner off of Greenville and Main, so you have to look for it! I loved when I walked in everyone was ready to help, tell you stories and let you sample some of their favorites!  An empanada is defined as; a stuffed bread or pastry baked or fried and filled with savory or sweet ingredients.  Tango Bakery has both savory and sweet empanadas, in fact, they have so many flavors to choose from it took forever for me to decide!  One of my favorites was the Mango and cheese filled Empanada.  Go by this weekend, you will not be disappointed!

Bonnie Ruth’s Patisserie

If you have always wanted to go to France and eat one of their amazing pastries, look no further!  Just walking into Bonnie Ruth’s, hearing the music and seeing the beautiful bar and chandeliers transports you to a different place and time, but taking a bite of either their Italian Cream Cake, Caramel Bread Pudding or Chocolate Praline Cake, will convince you that you are there!  Their cake is so moist and full of flavor it literally makes my mouth water.  Their pieces are very generous too, so big that I had to take half of mine home!  They have to go services and you can order for holidays, just make sure you get your orders in early because get super busy!  P.S. Their cappuccino is To DIE FOR!!!
