Based on the Tony-winning 1939 classic film, the full-length musical adaptation of the Wizard of Oz is coming to the Fairview Youth Theatre mainstage! There truly is no place like home in the tale of a young girl and her dog who adventure to the magical, mysterious land of Oz. Join your favorite characters including Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Lion, and Tin Man on their journey to learning that home is where the heart is.

North Texas Performing Arts - Fairview is proud to present The Wedding Singer, performed by an all youth cast, takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room. Based on the hit Adam Sandler movie, The Wedding Singer's sparkling new score does for the '80s what Hairspray did for the '60s. Just say yes to the most romantic musical in twenty years!

Veterans Day Celebration At The Civic Auditorium, Nov. 11th

World War II flight instructor Lt. Commander J. Waymon Rose and Sgt. Eugene Pugh will share their fascinating stories from World War II and Vietnam at 7:30 pm Monday, Nov. 11, at the Allen Public Library. In addition, the Allen Community Band will perform a medley of patriotic songs for the event. Listen to a creative version of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture that will be replete with celebratory acoustics. All veterans are encouraged to participate.

Give Your Ideas For A Downtown Allen With Better Block, Nov. 14th!

Gather with neighbors, grab dinner at a visiting food truck and give your ideas for the future of the downtown Allen area. Allen residents can get a taste of this input-driven experience at a Better Block pop-up event at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 14 at the corner of Allen Drive and Main Street, next to Allen Arts Alliance. Participants will help transform the vacant lot by assembling picnic tables and temporary play structures. Afterwards, they’ll share a meal and use interactive displays to provide meaningful feedback on how to build engaging spaces.
