11th Annual North Texas Giving Day Returns September, 19th!
Communities Foundation of Texas’ 11thannual North Texas Giving Day is back September 9-19, 2019 with 10 days of scheduled giving, thousands of registered nonprofits, and community events scheduled throughout the region. Jessica and Dirk Nowitzki are this year’s honorary chairs.
Since the event began, it has raised $240 million for thousands of nonprofits in the entire 20-county North Texas region. Last year, more than 330 Collin County nonprofits participated, receiving more than $5 million in donations from more than 12,600 donors, not including bonus, prizes, or any matching funds. Registration for nonprofits to benefit this North Texas Giving Day opened May 23 and closes August 19, 2019. Nonprofits can register by visiting: https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/register.
The nation’s biggest community day of giving will be preceded with ‘10 Days of Giving’ September 9 through 18. The scheduled giving concept was introduced in 2017 to offer scheduled online giving and opportunities for volunteerism. In 2018, 9% of scheduled giving donors gave again on giving day and 11,000 donors pledged more than 400,000 hours. “FUNdraising” pages, which were launched last year to allow “super fans” to set up peer-to-peer fundraising pages on behalf of their favorite nonprofits, are also back this year. Nonprofits with “FUNdraising” pages realized a 12% lift in donations versus nonprofits that did not have FUNdraising pages. To create your own FUNdraising pages, visit: https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/FUNdraise.
