Allen's Community Theatre performs 'The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940' through April 7th
Allen’s Community Theatre continues its 2018-19 season, “A Season to Die For, Murder, Mystery and Mayhem,” with The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 by John Bishop. An ingenious and wildly comic romp which enjoyed a long and critically hailed run both on and Off-Broadway.
Sit back and get ready to laugh as the creative team responsible for a recent Broadway flop (in which three chorus girls were murdered by the mysterious “Stage Door Slasher”) assemble for a backer’s audition of their new show at the estate of a wealthy “angel.” As a blizzard cuts off any possible means of escape, bodies start to drop… So, obviously this show is an irreverent and hilarious good time with a generous serving of the author’s biting, satiric and refreshing wit. Will they figure out who the killer is before it’s too late? Will you? Get your tickets now for The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 and solve this mystery yourself!
Performances: Allen’s Community Theatre (ACT), 1210 E. Main Street #300, Allen, Texas 75002 (SW corner of Allen Heights and Main Street).” The show opens March 22nd and runs through April 7th, 2019 with performances Thursdays at 7:30, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00, and Sundays at 3:00.
Ticket prices range from: $22 for adults, $19 for seniors (65+) and $17 for youth (Under 18).
